Can anyone tell me what the AP discount typically is? We are going in October 2014 and hopefully late January 2015. I am trying to see if upgrading our tickets to AP's will be beneficial. We would stay at either POP or POFQ. Thanks.

Www.mousesavers.com has lots of information on past discounts.

Personally, I am beginning to wonder if AP'sare worthwhile for resort discounts anymore. The gp offers come out earlier and often have as good or nearly as good a discount.

AP discounts seem to be literally the scraps after all other discounts have been out for a good while. Definitely not the deal it once was.

Good idea trying to do the math.

Good luck!

I just tested some October dates the other day....I think Pop had a 20% discount on certain days, not sure about French Quarter...I want to say it was about the same.

Wait -- October AP rates are out? Thanks so much for the heads up! Off to check....trying to help a friend price out deals.

Only up to October 3. I think there is some confusion because there is also a link to the general pubilc offer on the AP page for dates through December. I don't understand why they put out AP rates last. Seems like they should come before the general public offer.

I only find AP discounts through Sept 27 - I agree it's very confusing on the Disney site looking at all the deals with different dates, different offers, and even different destinations! In any event, I don't think someone could've compared October dates quite yet, unless I've missed a deal. This is what I see:

Passholders save up to 35% on stays at select Disney Resort Hotels. Offer valid for stays most nights July 20 through September 27, 2014. Book by September 24, 2014

As a reference for OP, here is the general public offer:
Save up to 30% on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels, valid for stays most nights August 16 through October 3, 2014. Book now through August 8, 2014

I agree. I haven't applied an AP rate in years. They used to come out before the GP rate and the discount was 5% more. Now they are the last to come out, and are very limited, and are sometimes the same as GP. I've used AAA discount the last few years for POFQ because the AP didn't even offer a discount for that resort. Very sad that APs aren't getting the great offers that used to be given. :crazy2:

It really depends on how many days you are planning on hitting the parks over those two trips. Also, is it possible that you will also visit again before the one-year anniversary of your 2014 October visit.
