I would love to take my Sister to DLP as a surprise. A few years ago she paid for me to go to Egypt so i would like to treat her in return.

I am sure i have read on here that it is possible to get room only rates if you do not yet have an annual pass but are planning on getting one when you arrive.
I know some of you (cap n jack in particular) got some fantastic prices for March with your annual pass discounts.
Do you think it would be possible to get these rates without having the annual pass but would be buying them when you arrive.??

Aaahhh that's a lovely thing to do.

Unfortunatly you do need to have an Annual Pass to get the cheap rates for room only bookings however they have changed the rules so that you do not have to have one to get room only prices.

I have heard of a few people rining and saying that they will be buying Dream AP's and getting the discounted rate on the understanding that they buy a Dream AP before booking into the hotel.

To sum up (as I seem to be waffling) She will definatly be able to get a room only rate....however it may not be a discounted one.

Mmmmm, i may give them a ring and see how far i get. No harm in trying.

I sooo wish i had of brought dream passes for me and my Daughter back in October. I ummed and arred (spelling) and decided that as we were going to WDW this year it was just not worth it.
At the price you got your March trip for i could have done both:sad2:
I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms :lmao:

We have just tried to do this and I posted this in another thread.

The room only price quoted to us was MORE expensive than the package price. I was given some diatribe that they discounted the room only price when you take park tickets as part of a package (commercial commonsense lost on me here, but...).

However they then allowed us to deduct the price of the park tickets from the PACKAGE price as long as one person in the room retained the package. In other words, for a 3 night stay, if there were 3 in the room, they knocked off £230 from the package price representing 2 park tickets.

We will then buy annual passes for the other 2 when we get there.

Make sense?!

Regards

I think it's beacause if you have park tickets you will use the park, if you don't you may always change your mind :thumbsup2

Thanks for that,:thumbsup2 i think i understand what you mean.

Maybe i would be better off booking somewhere like the Kyriad and then buy Dream Passes. It would save alot of hassle.

That's the way a lot of AP holders are going. Unless you luck out and get a 45% or 50% off offer (like I did in December and March) then its too expensive.

For next weekend DLRP want £225 for the Cheyenne with AP discount, Expedia want £190 for the Cheyenne and £125 for the Kyriad. That's a £100 saving from staying onsite!

Blimey!!! That's a big saving and if you have a Dream Pass you can still make use of EMH (is that right)

Yes you can do EMH with the Dream pass. That's one of the main reasons I'll be buying one.:) Hope I'll be able to get out of bed early enough though!:upsidedow
