Can someone tell me what an average AP rate for AKL is for May? I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade to an AP in September (it'll still be good for next May) and book a regular room using the discount for May '09 or if renting points from a DVC member would be cheaper. Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to line up everything so I can try to get a rental @ the 11 month mark from an owner. TIA!!

The AP price of a standard room for AKL for this May is $164 (all days). A pretty good deal I think.

well, I was quoted $184.50 (not $164) for May 3-6. Maybe I had a cm wanting a $20 tip :lmao: :lmao:

It was $230.00 for a courtyard view for May...although it was $100.00 more than that for the time period we're interested in as it goes into the Memorial Day weekend..which is not discounted. We wanted to LEAVE on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend(or at least that was the plan) and they start charging full rack rate from the Thurs. before. Not to mention the discounted rates(or even rack rates for that matter) are less on weekdays..then more for weekends. I had a reservation with almost 4 different nightly rates on it. They don't make it easy. Crazy...we're not going. Can't bring myself to spend full rack rate for Disney.

There are 2 different offers. One will show weekends at a higher price than weekdays. But the only type of room i can get to come up AT ALL is standard.

We're going in August but I have been fooling around with the AP rates in Spring just to see what I can get to come up! :rotfl2:
