AP Rates

This is probably a stupid question but are there "regular" AP room discounts offered throughout the year AND then sometimes there are additional AP "codes" that can be applied for additional savings?

Or, are there no regular AP discounts and you just have to hope for an AP discount code during the time you want to book?

I'm just trying to decide if I want to purchase an AP or not, so am trying to do some cost comparisons. I am currently booked at POP for the end of March using the current AP code but if I have an AP I obviously want to use it again so I wanted to check the rates for dates in October. The CM told me that they don't have any AP rates yet for that period and couldn't give me any prices.

This time around, there does seem to be the "regular" AP rates, and rates if you have a code. If you give the AP code BKE, the value for January drops from $59 a night to $49 a night. Or at least that is what people are reporting.
