Ap Rates--What did you get?

I am so excited I just upgraded from ASmo to PO for less than we paid at the All Stars!! We are really looking forward to this. The standard was 528 if we had gone preferred it would have been 595, this is for 6 nights. Thanks for all the great tips on this board!! When I first called the girl told me they could not do that without cancelling the first ressie and I would lose my trip insurance ($69). I was pretty unhappy because when I booked the trip I specifically asked the girl if I could book it under the AP rate OR make changes without a problem, she assured me I could but as soon as I tried, problem. Hung up and called back and got an extrememly helpful CM who changed it with no problem and booked it through CRO, the way I asked for it to be booked in the beginning but the other CM told me I couldn't. Without these boards I wouldn't have known about any of this...Thank you!!!

Called yest on 8-28....around 2:00 CST.....thought what the heck....got GF $199.00 (GV) plus tax for each night of Dec 2&3......also WL $125.00 (Woodsview) plus tax for each night, Dec 8&9....we are visiting family in between those dates....we will be there Oct 12-18 at BWV....we are DVC ......But always like to stay a night or two in the hotels if the price is right.....congrats to all who got their dates...

Called tonight and got 6 nights at ASMu for $49.00 per night for November 12 - 18. The cast member was super helpful and transferred my existing reservation from ASMo to ASMu with no problem and even transferred my deposit. OK, so we had to change resorts, but we're not in the room that much anyway except to sleep and my family can do that anywhere!

:sunny: I got lagoon-view Poly for 6 nights in December for a total of $1505! That's close to $1000 savings. Wanted GF but it wasn't avail. Does anyone know whether it was ever offered with AP discount? I'll probably keep trying, it is so perfect for Christmas, My DH is worried Poly won't be jolly enough. Also, we requested Samoa based on what the booking jockey @WTC told me (close to main pool). Does anyone know the best location for convenience to monorail and the pools? We have 3 kids under the age of 11 and plan to use the pool daily. Thanks!

Samoa is a great bldg. We just got back from there. We had room 1602, 1st floor with a direct view of the volcano pool. Right across from the ice machine too. Just a hop skip and jump to the GCh and Captain Cooks to boot. You will love it. Have a great time.

I missed Thursday's Feeding Frenzy since I was out of town and away from a PC. I checked MouseSavers this morning and booked:

AKL - Standard - 12/21/03 to 12/28/03 - $121.54/night incl. tax

We stayed at AKL in July and loved it. We were upgraded to a Savanah View room then and we're crossing all our fingers and toes that we'll get an upgrade in December too :).

Called this morning and this is what I inquired about:

Dates 12/21-12/26. All prices tax inclusive.

POR $116/nt. That includes trundle charge of $15 (I believe). $101 without trundle.

Y/C Concierge G/V $300/nt

Polynesian Conciege G/V $262/nt.

I went with Polynesian Concierge. Sounds like there was plenty of availability that week.

I saw the rates on Mousesavers and this thread thursday night, and called my wife on the way back into town friday morning to see what she would prefer - keep our existing OKW 1 bedroom reservation over New Years, or see if we could book AKL at the AP rate. She responded as I thought she would - AKL ! I then called my boss to make sure I could add one extra day - 12/26 - to my vacation. Fortunately for me , he ok'd it.

I called last night, armed with the usual tips - ask for CRO, have code and dates ready, know the resort you want, etc. After a pleasant conversation with the cast member I had a confirmed reservation AKL 7 nights standard view holiday (!!) season starting 12/26 for a total of $851 , including tax. That is a heck if a deal - Mary's site lists the holiday rate for that room at $324/night before taxes. Since this is a resort that my wife, daughter, and myself have often thought about including in our future vacation plans this was a most unexpected and pleasant surprise. I'm still feeling jazzed about being able to stay there over NYE !

It's often interesting how things work out. Our original OKW stay, which I will cancel when written confirmation of the AKL stay arrives, was to start on sunday 12/28. Our plan was to drive down on the 27th, get a nice room for one night, and then check-in at OKW the next day. Normally I would have already made that reservation by now - probably through priceline, hotwire, or something like that - but I just never found the time. Whatever the reason, I am most happy now that I waited. AKL, here we come !

Just got off the phone with CRO. Small wait and I did not get up early to call early either. Friendly lady on the other end easily found me 10 nites at AS Sports for $49 a nite. Back of Touchdown building near bus stop and parking lot, our favorite spot and a possible king bed. I am one happy lady.

Now if all you guys in KY, TN, and GA will just make sure that it does not snow going or coming it will be sheer heaven! LOL

Awatt, I don't know if I am doing something wrong or what, but I was quoted $315 a night for GF lagoon view room for October with the AP discount. I thought that was a great rate, your's is even better. Could it be the difference in dates? Thanks, Carolyn

Got Poly GV Conc for 2 nights in early December. From there, we have 2 nights in Courtyard View at WL. Great rates.....can't wait!

Did anyone here get a standard room at the BWI with an AP discount during regular season? I read thru the whole thread and could not find one post with a standard rate....I like to keep track for my upcoming trip. Also how did everyone do getting the AP rate applied to their existing reservation when booking thru a travel agent (DU,etc)....it looks as if some of you had to book a new reservation yourselves? I keep wondering about putting my reservations in the hands of DU, thinking they MAY have better access to CRO and discounts when/if the time comes. What has your experience been? And I am doing the Happy Dance:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc for all of you who got the discount you hoped for!!!!

Is this all the AP discounts that have been gotten?

Goofyandmore- W.re going 11/11-16. Hope that clarifies things.

Since we were away last week I missed this info until just yesterday. I was still able to get the Poly for 189.55(including tax) for 5 nights, checking in 12/24. We decided to keep the first 4 nights at the Swan.
Im so excited! Cant wait for Christmas and my birthday at my favorite place! :D

Just got off the phone with CRO. After reading that some people where able to get their hote choice after a couple of days, I called and was able to book the WL courtyard view for 140.00 + tax a night for December 5-12. The WL was our first choice, but was unavailable last Thursday. I booked the Poly. I was able to move everything over to the WL. We are so excited!!:)

I called on 8/29 and spoke to CM "Odessa", and inquired about converting my AAA AKL concierge reservation to an AP reservation. I'd received an e-mail from WDW Guest Services that morning after e-mailing them about my concerns about the diminishing benefits for AP members. They'd e-mailed me back with the code for AP members, and told me that I could call and book right away.
"Odessa" told me that there were NO rooms available at the AP rate in concierge. She quoted me rates in Standard, Pool, and Savannah. I told her that I'd have to discuss the potential change with DH and get back to her.

I walked over to DH (we work at the same business) and told him the good and bad news. I went back to my desk, he picked up the phone, spoke with "Hazel" (I believe) and she fixed him up in a snap!! She took our AAA reservation, converted it to an AP rate and gave him a NEW confirmation number. It saved us about $400 on that leg of our trip! :Pinkbounc

However, she asked DH for the number that appears on the back of his AP, and didn't give him the new confirmation number until he provided it. Our passes expire before our trip, but I guess that didn't matter. As long as we got the rate........ that's all I was concerned about.

AND......... we've already booked our Sunrise Safari!!!! :teeth:

*Flower*

I tried to change our AKL ressie today to a concierge room and the CM said it was not available at the AP rate. I think I will try again tomorrow. When are your dates?

Mr. Mike ....thank you for the response. Now I can only hope for something similar for our trip next spring!! I have been watching and waiting with all of you for this round and have felt all the anguish and anxiety!! Since we are going for so long, discounts like this would save us over $2500!!!We are budgeting for rack rate and this would be a windfall for us!!:
