AP Rates on room using the "gift" annual passes?

I was wondering if I can book a room with the Annual Pass room rate discount if we didn't activate our annual passes yet. We would like to activate our "gift" annual passes on our first day there (may 8th 2011) so they would still be active by may 2012.

We plan on booking our stay out of the DFTW "free night offer" because we feel that the AP rates would be lower than the value of a free night. We would also love to get the AP rate and add the dining plan option to our package.

As long as your pass is activated when you check in you will be fine. Hope that helps.
