AP Rates now for late-Nov/Dec?

We're considering a 3 or 4 night trip on fairly short notice. Just picked up our first AP vouchers at the Disney Store last week, so I'm fairly new to the world of 'AP Rates'.

I'll probably call CRO tomorrow to ask this question myself, but I'm wondering if there's any chance AP rooms will still be available at this late date. Anyone book an AP room for late November / early December recently?

I'd prefer a moderate resort, but would take a value if available. No preference on individual resort.

The dates I'm looking at are roughly 11/29 through 12/2. The one night I anticipate having most trouble with is 11/29, which is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. According to WDW web site, rooms are available at all of the resorts I've checked, but I'm assuming occupancy will still be high through Sunday. If AP rooms are available only for part of my desired stay, can I get the discount on those days and pay Rack Rate on the other days?

Can different discount programs be combined over one trip? In other words, if AP rooms are available for 2 days, it is conceivable that I could get a AAA discount the other 2 days?

Thanks.

Hi

I have been trying for the 5th & 6th of Dec and there are no AP rates left for those dates, anywhere onsite.

Hi there - you never know if there will be availability or not for the AP rates - people cancel all the time. The following weekend is Mousefest - the big internet community's annual gathering, and many of those attending have AP's - so that would explain the lack of availability in early Dec.

If you can't get all the nights with the AP discount, you can make two reservations, and request a continuing stay in your same room. We are doing this next week - There were no AP rates available at the AKL concierge (or any deluxe) for the nights of the 9th and 10th of November due to Super Soap weekend. We did have a AAA reservation made prior to the release of AP rates, so we modified that to just our first 2 nights, then made a new reservation for the next 5 nights using an AP discount - more paperwork, but saved us lots of $$$$.

Good Luck!

Those seem to be popular days. But dont give up keep trying you never know they might release some or someone might cancel.

What do AP rates look like for that time of year? For Dlx and conceirge? We are planning a reunion for next year and trying to get ideas of different things. We know AP rates arent GTD to come out...But were just taking all things into account right now.

Thanks :)

We just got our APs and I called WDW today to see if there were any discounts/AP rates for Dec. and they said they were all gone for the dates we're staying. :(

Then the CM said to keep trying maybe new discounts may come out, but if people who had AP rates cancel, they go back to the regular rate. She said they have a block of rooms that are specifically for AP rates and when people cancel, it doesn't go back to the sale price...

Thanks to all for the replies. For what it's worth, I left a message with Dreams Unlimited Tuesday night and they got back to me with what appear to be AP rates at CBR for the nights we were considering. Would have been 3 nights, 11/29 through 12/1 at CBR Standard View. Rate was about $88 per night including tax.

DW and I discussed it and decided to just wait until we can start using our DVC purchase next year. Oh well, guess those APs go in the lock box for a few months.
