AP Rates for the Weekend?

Just had a CM tell me that passholder rates only apply Sunday - Thursday? Rack rates apply for the weekend. Is that correct? It's been a while since we've had AP's.

We got AP rates for our entire trip for May 7-15....and that included the weekends. The Friday and Saturday nights are more expensive than the Sunday thru Thursday nights,but the discount was still applied.

I think it depends on when you're traveling. I got a single weekend night at Coronado Springs with dining for just $212. If you're traveling during a non-discount period, then being an AP won't help.

We are arriving 5/20 and checking out 5/30 which includes 2 weekends and neither one of these weekends was part of the discount.

It is cheaper for me to book at the GP discount code or staying at the Swan/Dolphin is looking like our best option.

There are no breaks for passholders anymore.

That's the nice part about doing it online. It nicely breaks down the nightly rate to show if you are or are not getting a discount. In the past, the phone CMs would say no, but we have often been able to get the weekend discount online. The passholder site has not been updated yet (surprised! nope), but when it does we can crunch the dates and numbers there. I rarely ever use the passholder discount as we are DVC members, so I don't buy my pass for room discounts, but it's nice to have it in case we have to arrive a day early, or a backup plan.

It's up and running. I crunched the numbers and yes there are discounts on weekends.

Thanks again n2mm! I was able to rebook my trip using the passholder site and was given a better price than quoted over the phone this morning.

We are doing a split stay. We changed from POP to ASMU for 2 nights and then will be moving to the Gaylord Palms where DH's conference is and then to the Boardwalk Villas for our final 4 nights. We will be exhausted after all that resort hopping.

Thanks again, I saved about $500 by rebooking on-line.
