Is there a way to see the rates without having the AP yet? Trying to swing a stay at the DL Hotel, and wondering if by buying an AP it will be affordable? TIA!

Do you have an idea of which dates you are looking at? And is PPH an option if DLH is too expensive? I can look up the rates on the AP calendar for you (I was just looking in there a little while ago). They usually show about 3 months in advance, so, for example, right now the calendar only goes up to the end of September. Next month, we will see the October rates.

Thanks so much! Yes, I'm looking at July 25-29, 4 nights. I'd appreciate if you can look up the rates for PPH and DLH. Thanks so much!

Okey dokey! I have the AP calendar open so I will look it up right now. I will be back in a minute with rates!

what would you estimate the standard rates to be in Jan. 2010 for the three hotels? I'm somewhat overwhelmed right now trying to find the best deals - it's insane!

Okay, here we go:

For the PPH, the Calendar has different prices listed for certain dates, so it is broken down this way:

7/25 - $179
7/26 - $169
7/27 - $252
7/28 - $252

And for the DLH:

7/25 - $209
7/26 - $189
7/27 - $189
7/28 - $189

Now, I am sure that when/if you call to make a reservation (and you can ask for the AP rate now to book the room and then just get your AP at DLR before you check in), you can, for instance, mention that 7/26 shows $169 at the PPH, and I am sure you will get that same $169 rate for all 4 nights. In other words, they won't charge you $179 on one night, $252 on another night, etc. Same thing with DLH.

The AP reservation phone # is: 714-520-5006.

You know, it is so hard to tell what the rates will be this far in advance. Sometimes, during seasons when it is supposed to be very busy, the AP hotel rates suddenly dip lower than I expect (like last December, for example - that was the peak holiday season, but the 3 DLR hotels were NOT booked up, and there were some fantastic AP rates for that time of year, the weekend before Christmas; I was shocked), and other times when I think they will not be TOO high, they are ridiculously high. The early part of January will still be considered the "holiday season." I know that by February, it is considered off-peak. So somewhere in there the rates should drop a bit. But you won't get the concrete rate info until probably October.

You can always book something through the AP reservations number and put down a one night deposit now for what they estimate the January rate will be (in their computer, I suppose), and they will apply the standard AP 10% discount. Then, if a special 'AP rate' comes along for that month (which you will know in October), you call the reservation number and switch your reservation to the lower AP rate and they will do it with no problem. Last year I had those poor Cast Members switching so many things around in my reservation, trying to get the best deal! Just make sure you get your AP before you check in to the hotel!

Great - thanks so much for the help!
