AP RATES For FEB are out

I'm at work and I don't have my stuff with me--sure hope my Dreams res gets the codes applied! I'm sure she will, I just worry since I can't even e-mail from here to double check!

I emailed my DU agent to see if she was aware they were out nad she emailed me back letting me know that she had gotten my AP rate for me. My agent is Kelsie- and she is the BEST! I live over here on the west coast and was afraid they'd be all gone by the time I called! But Kelsie took care of it for me! I've never used a TA before , but I have to say that DU has been a great company to start with! I will definetly use them for my future trips. It's so much easier then being surprised and worrying if I can get what I want!

Anyway- I'll bet your DU agent knows and is getting, if not has gotten your AP rate for you. Check your personal emails- they'll probably let you know that way.

Not sure about the blackout dates, just reserved 2 rooms at Pop Century Feb 11-14 at $49 a night plus tax.

:bounce:

POR $79 per night ($88.09 with tax) for Feb 1-10. When do I start packing?

:hyper:

I was just told that the rates arent out yet and to call back tomorrow!!!! What is going on???

I lost my 800 # for Disney while on vacation at Disney last week, how ironic! Does anyone have it?

Hopefully this helps you out. The numbers I have are:

1800-828-0228 and 1-877-939-3732

Just got AP rate for Poly. Code is EWV. We are staying from 2/16 thru 2/20 but rate was applied for our whole stay. Feb. 16th is the last value season day before the Peak Season starts on 2/17. You can save big bucks by checking a day early if possible.

Mahalo and Aloha!

Got through pretty easily on 407# and 800#. EWV is correct. It seems 2/4 and 2/5 are blacked out. My GF reservation GV was 2/4-2/11(7 nights)- whan I called(twice) no GV AP for this period, was able to get LV for 4 nights AP(approx 28% off rack)-2/7-2/10(so apparently 2/10 not blacked out as reported earlier); no luck yet 0n 2/6 night, and again it seems no chance on 2/4 &2/5. GV would have been approx. 34% off w/ AP, so I may try periodically to see if they open up as it was my first choice. In summary, got My 7 nights(upgraded to LV) for about what I would have paid for GV rack rate. I dont think the continuing reservation will pose a room switch problem.

Just got Pop Century for 1/23-1/29 for $49 plus tax. I got right through with no waiting and the CM said she was reading the memo as she answered my call! The code is EWV.

Booked Wilderness Lodge for $126+tax Woodsview on January 6 and 7. I received an email for current annual passholders giving us one days extra notice.

Got through with no waiting. All Stars Music for $49 a night 1/7-1/12. Saved $95, plus tax for my trip over the group rate I had--will feed just me for quite a few counter meals during my trip--first time going solo, with my family flying in later in the week.

Happy I got AP rate at POFQ of $79nt = plus tax$88.09

But soo disappointed that I had to switch Resorts to get it.

I had booked three rooms in August for our stay at Coronado Jan. 29th - Feb. 6th.

There are no AP Rates at CS for our time frame because rooms
are blocked for a convention.

This was confirmed twice with Guest services also.
Everyone I spoke to was very nice and helpful but it seems the managers of each resort decide depending on capacity.
I was able to contact my DH, one DIL, one son and asked whether this change was okay with them. They are fine with just going to WDW.

I know I can keep the higher rate at CS, but I'm concerned more with the Conventioneers/noise if we stayed there in my fav blds. Casitas. Been there, done that. :D
Since this is the first time any of us will be going with young children, my concerns, priorities etc. are different.

My DH and I have stayed at both resorts, my kids have stayed at PO once before.
I was really excited for them to stay at a different resort and had made up packets for both families w/pics/maps/info on CS.

Oh, well, I'll get over it and stop my whining now.
Good luck to all getting the new rates!

Sorry for the whining- I really had only intended to give a heads up on Coronado for those dates.:o

I guess I just needed to share with my fellow OCP planners who would understand my little disappointment..

There are now three more rooms in their system if anyone wants them.

Oh, no mention of blackout dates either.

WL Woodsview quoted as $ 149.40
AkL Plain Standard $109. plus tax=$121.54
I was thinking of splitting stay, but no one else in my family wants to be bothered.

Have a Disney day,everyone.
I'm off to write my letters to Guest Relations complimenting the people I spoke to this morning who were so helpful, pleasant and patient

I got Feb 2,3,4,5 and 6th AKL without any problem or mention of a blackout date. After reading others post about black out dates I got nervious and called back. CM reassured me that I did have the AP rate for all those nights. Maybe blackout dates are for certain hotels.

We also got the AP rates during the blackout dates...maybe they only had a VERY limited amount of rooms, or only certain, very specific, resorts/times quailified??! Who knows, we are just so happy we got exactly what we were hoping for, I almost can't believe it! LOL

BTW, JandT'smom, I want to thank you for posting this thread so bright and early like you did!!! We were watching this board, Mousesavers and another message board for the AP rates to be announced, and YOUR post was the first we saw mentioning them on any of the websites! Thank You so much JandT'smom!!!!

I believe you are correct about blackout dates only for certain hotels, because when I called and could not get what I wanted, they offered me AKL with no blackout dates. :D

Just now booked AKL standard view for one night only--Feb 12. Did not mention anything about blackout dates. Total of 122.00 with tax.

I called at 7:50 a.m. central time and they were sold out of GF concierge rooms AP rate. Very frustrating. So I booked BWI concierge and then realized it was a measley 11% off rack rates so I cancelled. My friend booked us a BWI concierge for $174 a night. Don't ask how she got the rate....she just did. I am not at liberty to tell how she got it. She has someone in the "know."

Here are my complaints: How can they sell out of AP rates that quickly? Why are the savings less this year? I realize it is not set in stone and rates can change or not be offered at any time, but it still is a pain in my bottom to have to deal with codes and limited availability. It would seem that AP holders may need to review cost of pass vs. length of stay vs. room rates. At least in my case---part of the reason I choose AP was to squeeze in one short extra trip each year.

I just called to check and the CR Tower rate was $255. Too bad we can't bump our trip up to Jan/Feb rather than March. Just wanted to post that in case someone was interested.

Liznboys,
you are welcome. I am actually a travel agent who has been getting up every morning for the last two weeks to get the codes and Ap rates when they come out for my clients. I am also a Disney Lover and I understand how much everyone wants to go and how expensive it gets. I am glad you got an AP rate and I hope you enjoy your vacation!!

We have booked through DU and this morning my DU consultant (Sue Ellen) applied the AP rates to our trip and we saved $300. We are going from Feb. 1-10th at POP, so there is obviously no blackout dates @ POP during this time.

::yes::
