Hi all-

Disney fan here who unfortunately, let her AP pass expire due to being laid off last year.

Have a new job and ready to go to Disneyland to celebrate!

Would love to stay on-site at either GCH or DH but not ready to go and purchase an AP unless the rates for rooms are a good deal.

Can someone tell me the AP rates for both hotels from April 7-20? We are flexible but would like to go when it is least expensive sometime during that period.

Thanks so much for whomever has the time to look this up for me. Best and tinkerbell wishes to all!!

Just looked & April 17, 18, 19, 20 at the Disneyland Hotel is $329 each night. Same dates at the Grand Californian are $459 each night. These are the rates for the standard rooms w/the AP discount...I guess it must be spring break or something then, because those are pretty high for "discount" rates

ETA: yep...Easter is on the 24th.

I'm going in late March, and while I'm booked at BWPPI, I keep checking the AP on-site rates just in case. One thing I've noticed in the last year is that there is the "AP Rate" that is far in advance, and then there is the "real" discount rate that they post about 6-8 weeks prior. Just last week, they were listing a regular room at PP at $284 a night or whatnot for my dates, but I checked today and now it's down to $203 for the AP rate. So..... while I think it will still be pretty pricey around Easter, it might come down a little (just a little lol).

Spacemermaid, you rock! Thanks for checking in to the rates for me. Still a bit high but good to know.

Do you know if the rates from April 7-16 are the same price? Or do they go down? I am hoping the latter....

hahaa We can dream right?:goodvibes

I'm not spacemermaid, but for April 7-16 looks like the rates for standard rooms are varied.

DLH:
7-9 : $198
10-14: $215
15: $237

GC:
7: $267
8,9: $401
10-14: $267
15: $306

_yoko_ : no problem! Have fun on your trip! Congrats on your new job!

sonnyjane : thanks for looking those rates up :thumbsup2 Have you stayed at BWPPI recently? If so, how was the breakfast? I'm due to stay there in a week & want to know if I should plan on eating there or walking down to Mc D's before going in to the Park. (Reason I ask is that I had a :scared1: meal at Captain Kidd's before I knew better :rotfl:)

I've actually never stayed there, just going off the reviews of people on these boards. I have stayed at Clarion (FAR to walk), Camelot ("mehhh" breakfast and hard beds), so this time I'm going for another super close option with BWPPI. From what I've read on these boards, the breakfast is continental - nothing special at all (bagels, apples, bananas, cold cereal, maybe oatmeal), but is NOT associated with Captain Kidd's lol! I guess they just serve it in an upstairs banquet room of that restaurant or something, it's not actually CK's food.

According to BWPPI's website, the rooms have mini fridges and microwaves though, so if you really wanted you could also get some food for the room.

Thanks Sonnyjane! You are fantastic! :) Appreciate your help in looking up the AP rates.

Disboard members are the best!!

:woohoo:

Hmmm. If you book further out, do they give you the better AP rate when you check in? Or do you need to be in the know? I'm asking because I booked an AP rate for Feb. 16 at GCH ($213), but I'm not buying my AP until I go to the park that day. So, I'm not able to check the AP rate on my own.

When I stayed at BWPPI a few years ago it was all 'continental-style' breakfast, so cereal, juice, pastries/muffins/bagles, a bit of fruit (I woke up too late so missed out on all non-apple/banana fruit) etc. Light stuff, but that's all I eat in the morning at home anyways, and we usually just get a Costco box of cereal and a few gallons of milk and OJ in my villa these days for breakfast.

"NOT associated with Captain Kidd's" :rotfl:

That's all I needed to know. Thanks!

We have stayed at BWPPI and the bfast was NOT associated with CK's at all. The BW simply rents the area that they feature the bfast in. :) Don't worry, it's NOTHING like the food at CK!! :)

Okay, Best Western PP Inn? What does the PP stand for and does anyone have the #? Just 2 more questions, as I have never been to this hotel, can someone give a comparison to the HOJO? Last is it a good choice for a big family(8 2 adults and 6 children) that needs 2 rooms, kids in one alone (one of us will stay in each room if they don't connect but would like to stay together) with us and 2 little ones? Thanks for your help.

Best Western Park Place Inn, it's right next to the crosswalk on Harbor. It's nice, we were only there for 1 night and we didn't spend too much time there but the room was large enough for all of us. :) The HoJo has a better pool area (best pool area around actually, except maybe the DLR hotels) but the rooms were comparable. :) I'd stay at either one.

Could someone be so kind and to check the AP rates for Disneyland Hotel during April 7-11? I want to know if I should change my reservation and purchase an AP pass.

Thank you in advanced!

DLH 7 to 11th of April

NA, 248, 330, 125, 215.

We stayed at Best Western Park Place Inn last July, and were told by the front desk that Capain Kids are in charge providing the breakfast items. The girl at the front desk told us that they have a contract with them to provide breakfast--so I am not sure what to believe? I told her that I had heard really scary things about Captain Kidds and that we would be eating breakfast somewhere else, and she said in a quiet voice "I don't blame you!".

I didn't want to chance us getting sick, so we just ate at McDonalds that morning.
