AP Rates at Swan/Dolphin From CRO??

I currently have a reservation at the Swan from 10/13 to 10/16 at $179 booked directly with the Swan
I called CRO this morning and asked about the Swan or Dolphin using an AP rate and was told by the CM that I would have to book directly with the Swan or Dolphin.
Now I know when I cancelled my original reservation at the BWI with CRO the CM had the ability to look for availability at the Swan and Dolphin (nothing available through CRO at that time).
Was the CM I talked to this morning correct? Is CRO not able to make reservations for Swan/Dolphin? Should I call back?

They can make reservations just not with some of the discounts. So if you want to pay rack rate.... call CRO otherwise call the Swan/Dolphin directly

Thanks CarolA. I won't have to pay rack rate because I already have a reservation for $179 booked directly with the Swan.
I really wanted to book through CRO because of Disney keeping track of where I've stayed, how often, etc. I think this is how I got a free upgrade to Concierge privileges in June when I was at the YC.

It might be, but Disney has no motivation to get you to stay at Swan/Dolphin so it probably won't help your "history".

How did you get the $179 rate for Swan? IO have been trying and they keep saying $275 for the following week.

It's a Florida resident rate. My father lives there.
