AP rates at DVC resorts--help!

I know that the AP rates are out thru July 3, but do the rates include the DVC resorts? Someone reported getting AP rates at OKW in August, but when I called for a 1 bedroom in July I was given a rate of $300 per night, which isn't too good, so I don't think it was an AP rate. The woman I talked to didn't seem to know much about it--she told me that only DVC members couldstay at a DVC resort!! I really hate paying 60 pts per night, so I would like to get AP rates. Is there a website available?

I know when I checked yesterday the person at CR told me all current promotions (including AP) are good only through 7/3. She said all of those offer expire Sunday and I should look for new offers this weekend or next week for the end of July.

At least I will have something to look forward to--thanks! It sounds like your CM was more informed than mine was. I wonder how everyone found out about the rates thru 7/3--Mickey Monitor doesn't come out till May.

I think both of the CM's sound confused. The AP rates just came out. Why would they expire Sunday?

I would just call CRO back. I was quoted an AP rate for OKW and VWL and now I don't remember what it was.

Just call back and you will get someone who knows what they are talking about. I can't believe she told you only DVC members could stay at DVC resorts. That doesn't make any sense.

It was all over the resort board on Monday, it also hit mousesavers. People were calling regularly to check if they were out.

I called for OKW for May 9 & 10, 1 bedroom. The AP rate was $270 plus tax ($301). The Regular Rate was $385 plus tax, the AEA Code rate was $285, the DVC Member Rate was $288. I would have saved about $40 total from the member rate but it wasn't worth taking a chance that we might have to move (I have a points res May 11 to 16), having to check out and in, having to get the AP before checking in. I was disappointed, I think the AP rate was $239 last May.
