Friends and I have a suite reserved at AOA - using my AP. We are split partially on spring and the rest on summer discounts. We will have to have two separate reservations, but what experiences have people had as far as being forced to switch rooms? We have two small kids and hope to stay put for our entire stay. I know it is not guaranteed.

We just had that situation last month at Beach Club. I had the same type of room booked but under the AP deal for partial and Orbitz deal for partial. Right at check-in, I confirmed they had both of my reservations connected, and the CM replied "yes and you are staying in the same room." So last month it was a breeze.

We have had the same situations a few times in the past too, and we have never had to switch rooms. One time I actually had a different room view booked at the same resort (at WL -- standard and woods view), and when we checked in, the CM said they had us in a woods view for our whole trip before I even had a chance to ask.

So from my experience, I do think Disney tries to keep guests in the same room. It would be an inconvenience to switch rooms for both parties, IMO.

We have had 5 split stays like this and have had only to switch rooms twice.
