AP? rates after the 1st of Jan 2008 and schedule

Could some of you in the know tell me if I can have any expectation of AP rates in Jan or Feb (before Pres Week of course)? I was thinking about going early Dec but I would have a lot more time to save if I waited. I did get AP rates at PPH for 9 nights in a row so I hate to lose that benefit if there won't be another opportunity.

Also, since they will be taking down all the xmas overlay, what can I expect to be closed and for how long?

Last Jan the AP special rate of $89 per night did not come for but did for mid Feb and March.
In 2005 & 2006 They did have an $89 per night AP rate in Jan.

So who knows what they will do this year

Thanks so much for replying! Our APs are good until May so I want to squeeze every last bit of magic out of them. My rate on hold right now is 149 park view at PPH - the only thing they had available. Maybe if I actually stay on top of it, I could get one of the better rates when they come out.

Is there any trick to finding out when rates are published or do you have to check the Disboards and/or DL website on a daily basis?

The boards seem to know rather fast, but it can be found in the Backstage Pass news letter they send out (if they give the rate). Oh you can access the news letter on the DL website as well.

last year I went Feb 8-11 and stayed at GC in a park view room for $209 pn....the ap rates came out towards the end of Jan...so I snatched it up..I remember a standard view was $189, DLH was $169 but I dont remember PPH because I never stay there...and as far as I can remember the only thing that was closed for any time at all was HM and IASW because those are the only 2 rides that have the change anyway...I dont think anything was closed except for Splash but that was due to a total refurb that had been going on for a few months
