Has anyone had experience checking into an AP rate room without your Annual passes activated yet? We're arriving Wednesday night (early Thursday morning) around 2am or so and won't have anywhere to activate them before we check in. Not sure if they are required to be activated or not.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.

MORE THAN LIKELY,you will not even be asked to produce your Annual Pass.:) It all depends on the Cast Member checking you in.I have taken 12 trips to WDW with an AP discount and have NEVER been asked for my AP.IF you are asked for your AP,just show them your AP Voucher and tell them you will come back by the Front Desk later in the day with your activated AP.They should,at this point, check you in with no problem.IF NOT,ask to speak with a Front Desk manager, but I really don't think you will have any problems.:)

I've always been asked for my AP's and never allowed to check-in without them.

Thank you both for your responses....I think I may just call the hotel and explain my situation so I don't worry about it.

That's what has happened to us, most times as well. We have had a couple of trips where they asked to see them. I think it depends on the CM.

Do you have your vouchers? I *think* they will allow you to show those, and you may have to check back later, after you have activated them.

That would probably be your best bet. I would however take the name(s) of whoever you speak to, just in case:thumbsup2

DON'T SWEAT IT!:) Disney is NOT going to tell you AT 2:00 AM:"We are sorry, but we cannot allow you to go to your room until your AP Voucher is activated. The Parks open at 9:00 AM and you are welcome to lay down on the floor over there until then."!:)

LOL! I didn't think so either!

For what its worth, the CM who booked me said that I MUST have the actual pass to check in ro get charged the regular rate....

No, but they could tell you that we are going to charge you full rack rate. Which, admittedly, would most likely be changed back to AP rate after you get a chance to talk to a manager, but then its a hassle.

FYI to everyone that posted - they said it was fine....Thanks for the responses. I should have just called from the get go!

I got the official word on this on my last visit. If you have your voucher, which was mailed to you, that is OK for check in, the front desk does have the right to ask you to return with the actual AP the next day.

In practice I showed to it the CM at out first check in and he did not even look at the name or numbers. At my second check in they did not even ask.

As with all things if you have a problem ask for a manager.
