Hi all! Well I am nervously venturing beyond Disneyland to WDW to plan a vacation for my dd's graduation (next year - I know I'm early - but its all so overwhelming!). Anyway, I know that in DL it can sometimes be beneficial to buy an AP even if you are only going once, just for the room rates. Is that the same for WDW? I will probably book a package of room and tickets so if I book that and wait to see if AP codes come out will I be able to change one ticket to an AP and the rooms to the rate?

Thank you!

You would have to actually do the math to see if you would come out ahead (assuming that AP room rates are available for the time of your visit). Also, with an AP you can usually only book the room at the discounted rate and not a complete package that includes tickets. The tickets for the rest of your group would just be purchased separately. I do believe you can now get the dining plan with an AP room rate though.

PP is right-AP rates are good for room only reservations. You can't mix and match.
