AP rate question

Hi, I've searched but can't find an answer for this specific question.

Next year I'll be travelling with my parents and sister/boyfriend. They'll be staying at a universal hotel for 2 nights whereas DH and I will be staying 6 nights.

Both DH and I are AP holders. I intend to book our room on the stay more save more rate but was wondering if we could use our APs against their rooms? We'll all be checking in at the same time.

If the ap holder has to stay in the room can we add ourselves to their rooms for a (hopefully small) charge, while having our own room at the same time?

I'll be paying for all 3 rooms in case that makes a difference.

Thanks

as long as an AP holder books the room, the discount can be applied.
you could be booked for one room and your dh for the other.
you won't be able to book 3 rooms though unless someone else has the ap.

(i'm not sure if the reservation has to be in the ap's name or just listed in the room.

call to verify that.)

Wasn't the AP member able to book 2 rooms? At one time...is it still not that way?
