AP rate for Jan. smaller discount than GP

I called about room only AP discount yesterday and the cm said it would be $1 plus change more to switch my POP ressie from GP discount to AP. I've never had that happen before.

I would recheck that on-line.

We had a 9-night preferred room booked at POP under the GP code and switched to a standard room with the AP and saved about $120. We wanted a standard room anyway, but nothing was available under the GP code for our dates.

I checked on AP sight and yes, it is higher for AP than the GP offered a while back. If they offered the percentages off they are offering later in the winter I could have saved a little. I don't get them offering higher discounts for non- off season rooms.

That is a bummer. And frustrating that AP holders seem to be getting the leftovers and the short end of the stick for discounts lately.

Yep. I called today to switch my GP discout to AP at POR and was told 1st time I called there were no more AP rates available at POR. Only CB available in moderate. We didn't want to stay there so I called back again and was only able to get AP rate during the week at POR-on the weekends they wanted full rack rate. REALLY? Disney ought to be ashamed of leaving AP holders out of good discounts. Guess we will NOT be purchasing another AP for next year. Value just keeps going down while price keeps going up. So very dissapointed.
