AP rate CHANGED! What price will I end up paying?

Posted this at end of another thread about the new AP discount, but decided it was better as its own topic. Forgive me, if you disagree.

I booked an AP rate room at WL the day the discount was released. The only room available was a CY view BB, which was less than the standard view I booked with a AAA discount.

Today, I'm reading a thread that say more rooms have been added, so I went to price a woods view room only to discover the rate from my room went WAY up [$150 for the 2 nights]. After looking at my confirmation, my reservation does not have the higher *Saturday* rate, but instead has a modest increase over the Sunday night booking. Now, the system has added an additional $150 to the Saturday night rate.

I checked and the VWL were still showing the lower rates, then when I logged back in again they have also gone up to reflect the increased Saturday night rate as well. Soooo my question is will my reservation be honored at the rate I booked or am I going to get a nasty little bill for an additional $150 at some point? I even called to put in a room request on Friday and the CM never mentioned anything about the rate....:rolleyes1

I can't be the only person this happened to, right? Anyone had experience with this before?

You will pay what is on your confirmation from Disney. Do you have one?

Availability changes all the time. It is likely that the new dates do not have an AP rate, and you got lucky and got one.

It just sounds to me like you got that rate and it sold out and the rest are regular price. This is not unusual and not something I would worry about because discounts are never across the board at Disney.

Not necessarily. If the error is due to a computer glitch or programming error, which it sounds like it may be, Disney does reserve the right to correct the error (according to their rules that appear in the fine print). Now whether or not they will for $150 is another story. And whether or not this is an error or some other issue isn't clear from the information the OP posted.

There are two AP codes. One gives you an AP rate for every night and then the other one leaves out the weekends........

Not sure what information is needed. I called the reservation number at 0 dark nothing on the 3d. Was quoted the price of $499.50 for the two nights. Booked the room during the same call, and received a confirmation email reflecting $499.50. Called for a room request on Friday the 5th, received a second confirmation email reflecting $499.50. Today, I go to look for room availabiliy and discover that my same room price is now $668.
The Saturday night stay on my email is priced at $225, now priced at $375.
In fact, it looks like every option now available makes the trip MORE expensive than the AAA discount I gave up to make the new reservation.....I'm a bit sick over this, as I'm not wanting to "work the system" & expecting *something* for the mistake....I just need to know what will happen, and if there is no reason to pay more *just because* then I don't want to. However, if I can expect a bill sometime between now and my trip, or at checkin, then I will be able to plan for it.

It looks like the reservation system only just caught the difference, as when I first logged in to look at the WL, the suggested alternative of VWL was still showing the reduced price for both nights, then when I logged back in again it has also upgraded to the higher rate for the Saturday night.

Looks like AKL still has the lower Saturday night price for my dates....
