AP rate - AP holder and room reservation have to be same name?

We are going in Sept. We're doing the free dining, but my parents are coming up for the weekend and are just getting the FL res. tickets and paying for their room. I'm the AP holder, but my name is on a different reservation, so I can't make their reservation...I think. Does the actual person staying in that room have to have the AP or could I make the reservations in their names with my AP? Hopefully FL res. rates will come out anyway, so it won't matter.
