I just received my AP voucher and it lists the places where I can activate it. It says "Transportation and Ticket Center at the Magic Kingdom Park," but not the MK Guest Relations. Has any one RECENTLY activated an AP at the MK ticket window?

We are staying at the Contemporary. I was told on the phone that I had to activate my AP before checking in, but we have a town car service that is dropping us off at the hotel. I was hoping to check in first so I don't have to go back and forth between the CR and MK and/or the TTC. Will they let me check in without activating my AP?

We may not even go to the parks until our second day. Provided I can check in without activating my AP, I may wait until the morning of our second day to activate my AP. What time do the ticket windows open on the EMH days?

I've heard they often have ride previews for AP holders. Is there a way to find out if there are any in mid-March when we are there? I think It's a Small World is supposed to open during our trip, but it would be fun to get to preview it.

Thanks!

We just activated our AP's at the MK guest services window in December.

As for checking in, I personally have never been asked to show my AP upon check in. I'm pretty sure some people have been asked though. I would hope that your voucher would be good enough for them until you activate. It is a short walk over to MK if they would make you activate it first.

Sorry, I can't help with your other questions. Hopefully, someone else will be able to help you out.

It's really not a big deal to walk over to MK if I have to, but I just don't want to drag my 2 toddlers over to MK and then have to go all the way over to TTC from there. Our plane lands at 10:30 a.m., so our room may not even be ready when we get to the CR. I'll just have to be sure to be organized, so I can grab stuff if we can't check in right away.

1.) Chances are you will NOT need to show your activated AP. If you do, and you don't have it, the desk should give you 24 hours to get the thing activated.

2.) There are Guest Relations windows at the Magic Kingdom. They are sometimes referred to as ticket windows, but they are operated by Guest Relations, so you will DEFINITELY be able to activate your annual passes there. As you're looking at the Magic Kingdom entrance, BEFORE (at least I'm 99% sure it's before) the bag checks, head all the way to the right. There will be a queue area, and what looks to be ticket windows. Those are Guest Relations windows. Just go there, and you won't have any problems. :)

I have had my voucher activated at MK guest relations before. We were staying at Ft Wilderness so the boat took us directly to the front of MK.

That same trip the CM asked for my AP when we checked in (which is the only time they have ever asked). When I told her that I had not exchanged the voucher for the actual AP yet she just told me to stop back in the next day or so and show them the AP. Not a big deal at all.
