AP question

No. The only AP that's good at both coasts is the Premier Passport.

This! ...and since we are looking at a trip to DLR next year, I looked into the Premiere. I got one about 3 years ago and it was reasonable, but with the recent price increase....I just don't know. I may have to really crunch some numbers to see if it's worth it, or not.

I always thought the Disneyland website did a better job of offering info on this type of pass, but even now it seems more buried than ever.
Here's a link https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/premier-passport/

You can upgrade to this pass in person, but your expiration date will remain the same as your WDW AP. As others have said the price increase has not been kind to this kind of pass and you may want to consider a separate AP for each campus, then when one expires, you can still use the second one purchased, longer.

I bought ours 4 years ago for under $1,000 each after taxes. Now I thinks it's better to go back to back bi-coastal than simultaneous.

Thanks everyone!

That’s crazy expensive! It’ll be a lot cheaper to just buy the DL tickets.

Definitely cheaper, but you can also consider the "perks" involved in a Premier pass. Discounts at Disneyland (all permanent food locations, not just table service restaurants), merchandise discounts, included photo and maxpass, free parking (if you have a car). Depends on the finances and how many people are going, but you could consider one upgrade to a Premier for everyone in the party to partake in the discounts (just the AP holder needs to be the one to do the actual purchases)

I think the premier may still be a good deal if you're a Southern California local and Disneyland is your primary park but you like to visit WDW a couple of times a year. Otherwise, likely not.

This is exactly the demographic that it's a better deal for, and that's why Disneyland has more information and knowledge regarding it than WDW does.
