If I purchase an AP now but don't use it for the first time till October, does the year start when I purchase it or the first day that it is actually used?

When you first use it.

Can't use it until you first activate it at guest services. Sometimes guest services lines are long so plan to arrive early and give yourself plenty of time to get it activated. Doesn't take long to activate, but you often have to wait 5-15 minutes in line.

Your monthly payments would begin when you purchase the annual pass but the entitlements won't begin until the pass is activated.

1) Is there a time limit to activate the annual passes?

2) When you renew your annual passes, are they automatically activated upon the expiration date of the previous passes? Or, Do they start upon your next visit to a park?
