Hey guys, bit of an interesting scenario.

I'm going to WDW next week for work and intend to get a WDW Annual Pass, as I'll be going back for Wine & Dine Marathon in November.

I live up in NorCal and expect to go to DLR multiple times this year, including for the 60th, Avengers marathon weekend, and maybe the DL Half. (I really should have just bought a damn pass when I was there for Star Wars race weekend earlier this year).

Anyways...If i buy said WDW pass...Can i upgrade that to a premier when I come to Disneyland? Would the cost be pro-rated in any way, or would the upgrade be to the full cost of the premier?

You have to pay the full price difference at the time of the upgrade. It will expire the same day your WDW AP is scheduled to expire.

Yes, you can upgrade your WDW AP to the Premier Pass, but if you know you are going to get the Premier Pass, I would just upgrade it at WDW. Then you don't have to worry about trying to upgrade a WDW AP at DLR (and dealing with two different ticketing system, which may make the process more cumbersome and time consuming because DL has to call WDW to verify the AP and the value, etc.). Plus, then you get all the benefits of the Premier AP at WDW (discounts, access to the DisneyQuest, Water Parks, etc.).
