Hello all,
We are new DVC owners and when we purchased we thought we would go every other year. We went on our first trip this past Dec and LOL we are now planning our next trip for April 2016. So it seems maybe we would go every year now. I am trying to figure out if an AP would make sense now? My question is, Can you start purchasing them now and they activate when we go April next year? I saw something about vouchers? My thought like what what we do with the park hoppers is that I would buy one once a month so its not a huge financial hit all at once. I know there was a price increase, how much are they for DVC owners? Thanks so much everyone!

I would buy an AP only if I KNEW I could get two trips out of it. Like April 2016 and March 2017. Also remember as a DVC member you can purchase a TIW card for $100. It is a good discount for us because we eat like that on our trips. In fact we purchase a special wine that DH likes from the lounge in Jiko then take it back to the room using the TIW card. Typically DVC members get a $100 discount off APs. We purchased the DVC 4 park days for $199 for our trip first week of May. I certainly hope they offer it again. Those tickets expire 5/24 so I am interested to see if they do another special after that.

I would wait until closer to travel to see if I could make two trips work out of the AP. We got three trips out of our last one. Oct-May-then Oct again. The ticket ended on our last night. Worked great. TIW worked that way as well.

You need to book your two trips no less than 365 days apart with each trip falling in that 365 day period. And if you buy a DVC discounted AP, you must get it activated at Guest Relations before you can enter the park. You'll need to show your photo ID and DVC member card at GR.
