We're planning a trip in 2015 and know we want to stay at POR for 14 nights although we might not actually be in the parks everyone of one of those days so a 10 day park hopper would probably work as well. It all comes down to dollars and cents. I know you can purchase a ticket and trade it in (buy up) for an annual pass once you are there, but I was wondering if I bought an annual pass now (before price goes up), can it be traded in towards a package if that ends up being the better deal for us?

I'm thinking probably not...but thought some of you will know better.

1- Correct.

2- Nope. Because the only thing in consideration is the TICKET part of the package. You can't trade in ticket value towards a resort stay.
