My dd16 and I are trying for our C2C medals in 2014 - with two trips to the parks in one year - is an annual pass worth it for us? Where is the most cost effective place to buy them? We are AAA Members if that helps? We are thinking 5 or more stats per trip....thanks in advance for your help!

I am a premier annual pass holder (both coasts), and to me it was worth the expense. I have already broken even (1 trip to DL and 2 to WDW) and I am about to take another trip to DL in my first attempt at the C2C (will hopefully complete the challenge at Wine and Dine). To me the price was worth it. I bought Disney gift cards at Target with my Target Debit card (save 5%) and at BJs (4% but used my Discover card when it had a 5% cash back offer, total savings of 9%) and bought the AP at Disneyland last Labor day weekend with those. This is really the only way to save however in total it saves about $50.

What is the cost for an AP? Is there a difference in Premier? Would it cover both WDW & DL? Thanks

The Premier covers DL and WDW; it's basically a Premium AP for both parks. It's EXPENSIVE, there's no way around it. If you are just doing a 5 day trip to each park (as it seemed you were saying?) there's simply no way it will be financially worth it for you.

"Premier Passports are $979 (Guests age 3 and older), plus applicable sales tax."

Since CA doesn't charge sales tax on theme park tickets, you are taxed on approximately half of that 979 (the WDW portion of it). As you can see, you're looking at over 1K for each AP.

I'm shooting for the medal too, but the WDW Half will be covered by my current AP, and then I'll just buy a ticket for the Disneyland Half next year. Unless we've decided to have a Disneyland year, in which case I'll buy a Disneyland AP. We have not yet gotten to the point where our *planned* trips come close to needing a Premium AP for each park, so we haven't bought the Premier.

Thanks I really appreciate that you took the time to respond....guess no AP's for us....better start saving our pennies for those tickets!!!
