AP question

When you have an AP code for a room does the AP have to be in the name of the person who made the room reservation. For instance the room reservation is in my name could my husband be the one with the AP?

Hmmmmmm good ?
I know my wife and I hold Ap's and she makes all the reservations
in her name but a few times they have asked to see the pass and I have showed them mine and ever thing was ok.
