AP Question - re AP for family members

I am aware that new APs are not available for purchase, but I have a question about the DVC APs (when they used to be for sale). My husband and I are blue card DVC, and when we bought DVC in Oct 19 we also bought APs for us + our two youngest kids (12 and 16 at the time). What were the rules/restrictions about what family members we could buy DVC APs for? I am wondering if I would have been able to buy a DVC AP for my older daughter (22 years old)? And what about my son who will soon be 18? Will I be be able to keep renewing his or is there an age when I might not be able to buy DVC APs for adult children ?

I realize no one knows what will happen whenever APs return - so I am just curious about how this would have worked in the past.

As long as the family member officially resides with you and, if of adult age can provide an ID that shows the same address, they can get the DVC-priced APs. Thus, adult kids, mainly staying at college elsewhere, and, while doing so, even spending summers working elsewhere, qualify.

Once they turn 18, they are considered adults. As long as they have a current state ID card or driver's license with your address on it, you can purchase them the AP. When they first use the AP, they will need to show their ID.
