If you have already had an AP am I right in thinking you cant be sponsored if you want to buy another at a later date or can you be sponsored again after so long of not having an AP

If DLP still have you on their file then yes you cannot get the 10% sponsor discount. Since this is to encourage new AP ownership.

We left our APs a few years and they pulled up our names and addresses.
Mind you we didn't test the sponsorship as we were using the family and shareholder discounts

I thought that when we bought our APs they said something about the following year you had to buy them at full price, then the year after that you could get discount (or was it that you could then sponsor people again and get your free year) again?

It seemed to me that you had to pay full price for a year, before being able to take part in further 'incentives'

A few people seem to be getting 18 months for the price of 12 if the renew their AP at the end of the first year.

We received that invitation, but couldn't combine it with the free year we got for sponsoring 3 people.

I'd be very surprised if they offered it to us again next April, when our passes expire, but if they did then I think we would be more likely to renew

You can't be sponsored on a new annual pass, unless your last annual pass expired more than 2 years prior to buying a new one.
