AP purchase DCP discount questions.

Kid is enrolled in the collage program. I'd like to take advantage of the reduced cost of an AP, but I need a ticket along with my on site resi to be ale to use ME. I'm going in a few weeks.

Does anyone know if I buy a park ticket can I upgrade to a AP and get the discount? If so how? My understanding is the ticket to AP upgrade is easy, it's the discount that is the fly in the ontment.

This is budget board so I think peeps will understand my desire to save some dough.

you dont need a ticket to use magical express, just a hotel reservation. You need a ticket to make fastpasses tho obviously.

Yes magical express is included with hotel stay just like the buses to the parks

Thank you both. Another family member was given several different answers to whether we could get the discount in a AP when converting a x day ticket. But the last 2 answers were that we could convert and get the discount. the topper was I was able to get the same FastPass’s as the gang who had already booked their trip.

We were able to get confirmation that we can buy tickets, make plans, convert tickets to AP's and receive the discount. Thanks.
