Is there an AP processing center in DCA? We purchased AP's online and was wondering if you can only do the picture and receive your card in DL or can this be done in DCA? Thanks!

I upgraded in the store just to the left of the entrance to DCA. No line at all in July midday.

I have a question, if we arrive at DLR around 9pm will we be able to buy APs? Would like to get them friday when we arrive and not waste park time on Saturday.

You should be able to. You'll have to get them at DCA since DL closes early, but I've never heard of the processing center closing before park closing.

You could *buy* the AP vouchers online right now if you wanted to. You're sent an email with PDF attachments. Print those out, go to the turnstiles, they are scanned in, and each person is given a ticket-sized card that you would take, later, to the AP center.

I think that if you buy an AP on Friday and go have pictures taken, that means you're activating it, and it will expire a day earlier than you might have wished.

By buying it online, you will have all day Saturday to go the AP center to take pictures...

Are you staying on property? If so you get early entry on days when it's offerred.

If you are not staying at one of the DLR Hotels then you can get one early entry day by buying multi-day hoppers (3 or more days, which should come with one early entry day) and at some point after you use the early entry (and before your tickets expire) then you can upgrade your tickets at the AP processing center. You get credit for the full price you paid for your tickets toward an AP. The only caveat I can think of is that you have to pay more for your AP than the price of your ticket. So if you get a ticket that costs more than the price of the AP you want to buy, you can't use this strategy.

Does anyone know if you can you upgrade more than once?

We'll have a GAD/GAD voucher and were planning to just upgrade it to an AP....but if the multi day hoppers get you an early entry, maybe a better strategy for me would be to buy a 3 day hopper, use our early entry and THEN upgrade again to an AP.

But I obviously don't want to do this if it means I can't then take our upgraded 3day and upgrade it to an AP. I would love to have an early entry but not at the expense of losing out on our APs, lol.

Since the 3day is $186 and the AP is $329 seems like this would work since Disney would be getting more money from me....but I'm wondering if anyone has ever upgraded twice?

You can do it, but people reported awhile back that when they upgraded to the 3 day hopper using the GAD they DID NOT get the MM for some reason. May depend on the CM, but a couple different people said that. Wouldn't hurt to try! :goodvibes

You can but you won't get a credit of 186 toward your AP. Since you started with the GAD, you will only get a credit of what you actually paid toward your AP.

Otherwise this won't be a problem. You can get a one day upgrade to a Socal Pass, uprgrade to a delux and upgrade to a Premium.

We have 5 GADs and want to upgrade to APs so no EE (if you buy a hopper pass using GAD its like paying the extra money for EE and not worth it for us with 6 APs to buy). But one DD was to young to participate so I will get her AP online to use for ET rate at HOJO, thanks Bumershoot (so we are not staying onsite). Just didn't know if they would give the rate with the printout or if I had to go get the actual pass. So I called and they told me it should not be a problem.:confused3 Hope it all goes smooth.
