Oops, missed part of your question.

You can order the tickets via a link on the DVC Member web site or by calling Member Services. You can also purchase them in person at any theme park ticket window or guest relations window (including those at Downtown Disney). You can't purchase them from your resort's concierge desk, though.

If you order your passes in advance, you'll be sent a voucher that will need to be exchanged at the Guest Relations window of the first park you visit. To exchange the voucher, you'll need to have your blue DVC member id card and a government-issued photo ID (driver's license) for every adult ticket. The addresses on all the IDs must all be the same as the address on the member's ID.

If you purchase the tickets in person, the member id card and driver's license requirements also apply.

One more question and an opinion please.
Guest relations is inside the park or outside by the ticket windows?
If we were planning on hitting our first park for rope drop would guest relations be open?
And even if (for now) we do not intend to use the AP more than once for the year, they would be cheaper than buying 11 day passes, I should still buy them instead right????
We are DVC new members.
Thanks BOPD!

That is a good question. We find that the non-exp PHP get us the most bang for the buck. We use AP's about every 4 years. When we need lots of Disney fixes.

Guest relations is just outside the parks.

Well, the price of an 10 day w/ PH + a 1 day w/ PH is more than a AP so we may just go with the AP.

The guest services is outside each park near the ticket windows, but there is also a kiosk at DTD where you can purchase them.

No, 11 days of MYW passes is NOT cheaper if you get the hopper option. For what it's worth, have you thought about using 1 AP for two trips? We used to do that prior to the DVC discount. We would start using an AP say the second week of December, and then the following year we would do the first week of December. That is basically a two trips a year apart, but able to use the same AP.

I meant the AP is cheaper than the 11 day passes w/ PH option.
We just won't be able to go twice in year most likely but if the AP is cheaper I think I'll do it.
Are there any other perks to the AP and will they just be added to the KTTK card?

As far as I know the AP is a seperate card only. Since it is Valid much longer than your WDW room stay (unless you are relly, really lucky :cool1: )
There's a few dining discounts (although may be mostly lunch)
There's also decent cash discounts if your wanted to book a cash stay (instead of points)
The AP also allows you to buy the DDE for $60, which gets you a 20% at most dining locations at all times (I'm seriously considering buying the DDE for my next stay instead of the DDP)
Remember the AP is valid for 12 calander months, it will not expire at the end of 2008. If you picked it up at GS today, it would be valid until 4/27/2009.

?

Not even by going consecutive years skewing the date by a week? We found that was a very economical way of doing it prior to the AP discount. Now with the DVC/AP discount, we don't normally wait so long between buying APs. We used to buy APs for a second week of January trip, then travel the next January in the first week, thus getting both trips on 1 AP. That made it more economical, because then we wouldn't purchase the next AP until the following year. Since the discount was offered, we tend to go 3 times on 1 AP and then take 6 months or more off before purchasing a new AP with the discount to start the cycle over again. We like to alternate early December and May. That means that one year we might go January, May and December, and the following year we'll do March and October or November. We rarely travel for less than 10 days, so it usually works out that we have 28 or more days on each AP.

well we figured if we cannot upgrade our current ressie in Nov (we have some points remaining) maybe we can go for a long weekend but we'll see if that happens
still though the AP is a bit cheaper than an 11 day PH package

The above prices do not include tax.

With tax the regular prices are:

First time Annual Pass purchase: $477.12 Adult (10+), $420.68 Child (3-9)

DVC price: Adult Annual Pass (ages 10 and up) save $100.00 plus tax
Child Annual Pass (ages 3-9) save $85.00 plus tax

Yes, an AP is cheaper than the 10 day, but depending on your park habits, a 10 day non-exp PHP can last much longer than an AP. We do not go into the parks daily, so it works great for us.

Did the annual passes go up yet this year? If not, do you have an idea when it might happen?

Thank You
