AP Price Increase???

We're going to be buying AP's for our trip this summer and I didn't know if I should buy them before January 1. Do the AP's usually jump in price each year, and if so, does the price increase take place on Jan 1, a different date, or is it just whenever Disney feels like raising the price? Would they announce the price increase ahead of time to give you a chance to purchase prior to the increase or would it just change one day? Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Employee at DStore just told me yesterday that
"tickets are getting re-done on January 2nd,"
don't know if AP's are included in that, or not.

There are stong signs of a price increase at the beginning of the year. They typically don't give advance warning of a price increase.
