OK -- our "inexpensive" $86 tix has morphed into a full fledged blow out.

So, our 2007 stop at US is now an October 2008 vacation.

2 of the 5 of us will go to HHN.

We want to stay on site for at least a night or two.

Is it worth buying AP for 2 of us? Can we use AP discounts on rooms if not all of us have AP? (It will be my DH & DS12 who get the AP).

Yes all you need is one Preffered AP. You could look into a Power Pass for the other party (in case you decide to visit again in the next year) but the PP does have some blackout dates.

You can use the AP for discounts for on-site rooms. Sometimes it's a spectacular discount, other times AAA is just as good. And you are allowed to book more than one room and purchase multiple tickets at a discount.

October is a hard time to find spectacular discounts on-site, especially for HHN weekends. But you get nice discounts inside the park with your AP.

You can also get the Universal Master Card and get 10% on everything inside the park too, if you decide the AP isn't worth it.

For a night or 2, it might be hard to 'break even' on a AP purchase. But, if you visit the parks again in the upcoming year, the PAP pays for itself.

Don't forget the in-park and CityWalk discounts you get with the AP!

For family like yours, the savings can add up quickly and (along with the room discount) pay for the card easily.

Actually, it is one room per AP, unless you are booking a second room for children. It won't work for adult children, friends, aunts, uncles, etc :goodvibes Otherwise you have to have an AP holder per room to get the discount.

FWIW - all 5 in our family have PAP's. Even though we live 4 hours away by plane, we still find the benefits worth having the passes.
