AP payment plan and GCs

Can you buy the AP using the payment plan and pay with a gift card later? I am hoping for GC for Christmas but want to buy AP before October 16. Anyone know?

The payments on the "payment plan" can only be made with a linked credit card.

However, you CAN pay off the entire balance early in one big payment, and that can be done, with a gift card.

Just curious if anyone knows the reasoning behind not offering an AP payment plan to folks that live outside of Florida? We've considered doing AP's but TBH I'd probably have already purchased them if a payment plan was available.
