Okay, I logged on hrs ago. Starting looking to find if someone else already asked this question, couldn't find it, (did find alot of other topics interesting though), so here goes, When I get a voucher for an AP do I pay for it then or when I actually get the AP in WDW? Probably a silly question, I bet they charge the credit card immediatly if not sooner. lol.
Also, can I start making ressies with AP discount with voucher? hotel, restuarant, illumination cruise, etc.?

As usual thanks in advance for all the help.

You are charged immediately for the voucher. You do not need to actually have the voucher or an AP in hand for most ressies, but you will most likely be required to show an activated AP at check-in.

C'mon now, did you REALLY think that Uncle Mike would let you get your voucher now and pay later??? LOL, the money comes out as soon as the voucher is ordered.

You can start making AP discount reservations when you get the voucher. Actually you can do it before you get the voucher - you just need to have the AP when you go to the actual event. They will note your AP discount on your reservations. With the exception of the hotel room, you will probably need to remind them of the discount when you go to use the discount. Also, check the AP discounts v. the DVC discounts. Sometimes the DVC discount is larger. HTH :)

You would be charged when you buy the voucher.

Regarding AP room discounts, you can actually book a room with the AP discount just by giving the applicable discount code when making the reservation. You do not need to have the AP in-hand at the time, you just need to present it when you check in. In fact, if you don't have it when you check-in--if you plan to buy the AP when you go to a theme park, just tell the CM that checks you in and they will give you 24 hours to return with the pass and keep the discounted rate.

IMO, just wait until you get to WDW to buy the pass. Even if you order now and pay all of those $$$, all you will get is a voucher. You'll have to take that voucher to Guest Services to actually activate your Annual Pass. Might as well give them your money at the same time.

Thanks everyone. Now about that AP code, how do I find out what it is.
We are interested in using AP code for accom. first 2 nights we get there. For a total of 3 rooms. This would probably add up to a nice savings (I hope anyway). As we are not going until June I understand that the AP rates are not out yet. Does anyone know what a room at the ASR-POP would usually go for with AP discount in June? Also, is the dvc discount on accomadations 10%? I can't remember. Thanks again.
