Yep! I was struck by the AP bug too!
We bought our first APs for this past Nov/Dec trip and we were also going to use them this October before they expire.
Well, I got to thinking (after hearing those APs calling to me...) that we could squeeze in a 'cheap' extra AP trip this August. I convinced my DH by saying: we'll make girls only so daddy doesn't miss any work, we'll go in the Summer so the girls don't miss any school, no kennel for the dogs cause daddy will be home, no paying for the resort because we're DVC, and no need to buy passes cause we have APs!!
I convinced my DH. So now we are trying out the end of August as our 'extra AP' trip and then again in October!
But I think we're going back to passes for our next trip.

I started running #s in my head and asked if rather than just buying us park passes, would they mind giving us the $ and letting us add a little extra on and buy APs so we could save some for our spring trip? They had no problem with that so we tossed in about $400 for our family of 4 and had our APs.
Original plan was to purchase them for our 2.5 wk trip this past Dec/Jan and then use them once more for a Thanksgiving trip this year before they expired.
