It started right after our trip in Dec. I could hear our AP passes calling my name from inside an envelope in a filing cabinet. "Lori, Lori, we must GO HOME. We must GO HOME." Then SWA decided to offer $95 flights from Raleigh to Orlando. I tried to reason with my pass that we had just been home. I could hear the voice calling and calling. I broke. Okay, we will go home.

AP passes should come with a warning. They don't save you money. You will just go home many times in one year!

We leave Friday morning!

Lori

LOL, you know I have heard the same thing from my AP as well ;) Makes it nice though when you find good air deals to be able to hop on down w/o worrying about buying a ticket :teeth:

Have a safe and magical trip!! My AP is calling me Home, too!!:moped:

I agree! It must mess with your rational mind, making you think, "Sure we'll add those extra nights on--just look at that great AP rate!" I believe all my rational thinking went out the window the day I ordered my AP. Well, if we go for a few days longer, look how cheap I'm getting into the parks!!

Help! There's got to be some way to get my sanity back!!

My DH loves to do to WDW like I do. However he doesn't want to go every year. Every other year is perfect for him. We were going to buy AP's this year but when the 5+2 package came out, the difference in our trip was only $80.00. So we went with the package (DH is jazzed about DQ).

He's happy because now I can't talk him into another trip "just because we have AP's"

Boy, do I understand! We are in between APs right now, but will be getting the new ones for our December trip. Just can't wait to hear those AP voices calling me home!

I totally understand!!!
Last June we got APs because we were at Disney for 13 days. It just made more sense to get APs for that long of a stay.

Well....little did I know they would be calling me name!!! ::yes::
We decided as a "Christmas present" for us that last December we made a 4 nights trip to WDW, I mean we already had APs tickets, got a great resort rate & were able to find good plane tickets ;)

Now, we decided to go back down there before they expire (we are not renewing them because we don't plan on to back to WDW until 2006)
So in about a week we will be heading back down to WDW, this time for 20 days!
We didn't get the best air fare rate this time around, but got a great resort rate! ;)

So I don't think in the long run the APs saved us any money. I mean if we didn't have the APs we would have never went down in December & probably would not be going now either.
But it sure has been a FUN YEAR!!!!!! :mickeybar

I know what you mean! We weren't going until Dec, but that AP just doesn't like sitting in a drawer! We'll be heading down just for "a couple of nights" in July! :bounce:

perhaps its us North Carolina people....our AP's sit in the desk drawer and beckon...."come home, come to the magic....just a wee little trip" and lo and behold...we are getting ready to leave on the 3rd trip on these passes and have the 4th and 5th trip planned....Nothing quite like those dumb AP's..lol

Boy that is the truth.
The DW and I were talking yesterday trying to figure where a little extra money in our account came from and a quick look at our charge card for a one year period starting after we got our PAPs to this year when we have on PAPs showed an $8,000 difference and it was all on WDW, priceline hotels, gas and Orlando restaurants. We went on average every other weekend with a few 3 or 4 day weekends and a couple 9 day trips. So the PAPs got our park entry fee down to about $5.25 a day per person and we always went to 2 or 3 parks a day so it was about $1.90 per park but when you throw in the rest of the money it brings it up to $123 per person.

So I agree! There should be a warning.

We did have a blast and hope to be able to get APs again but they are not cheep.

Those APs are BAD!!! We leave tonight for an "AP induced" trip. When we heard about the Southwest $98 rt deal - those APs just went crazy calling our name!

We weren't suppossed to go again until December - oh well!

My AP induced trip starts one week from today.

We bought AP's in December because we were doing a 17 day trip, so we long ago passed the "break even" point. However, we live at the Jersey Shore, and it gets REALLY crowded here on summer holiday weekends, and we really wanted to get away from it this year...and the AP rate at All Star Music was really good...

I know it will be crowded at WDW, but if I have to deal with crowds, I'd much rather be there than here!

LORI,

We were there in Dec. also w/ our APs and we're leaving Monday morning also! I understand what you mean, those APs...it's an addiction! :teeth:

Have a great trip, hope to see you there!!!!

Have a great time!

And I totally agree. We got APs, starting them up last August. This was a great money saving plan as we would get another trip this summer, 2 years vacations from 1 pass. Then somehow we ended up treating ourselves to a 10 day trip over Christmas, staying at the Swan & Poly, and going all out for the holiday and my birthday. There has been no "saving" money with these APs. ;) :teeth:

I agree, it's something in the water here in NC! Our APs begged 5 times between March 2003 and March 2004. Yikes! Considering I'm a busy college student, that's a ton...Thank goodness I have grandparents who understood the call! (my parents don't)

Oh my god! I thought I was the only one who heard there AP talk. Mine has been trying to convince me of a Fall trip since we got back 2 weeks ago.
ADP :D

BAD, BAD AP! Down Boy!!
We have them too but have never activated them. We bought them for our 2001 trip but decided not to use them. 9/11 happened and the rates were so good that we went with a huge discount and just bought hopper passes. I keep saying "this trip we are activating them for sure", then we decide we might not be back within the year so we wait.
I just keep thinking, when we do use them I will probably need shock therapy to make the AP voices stop!!!:crazy2:
