About to purchase three of the $81.95 five day tickets for my wife and daughters, was wondering if you guys think it is worth it for me to buy an annual pass and will it pay for itself, I am a AAA member if that helps. Thanks for any help.......

That depends. How frequenly will you go to Universal? The APs pay for themself after approx 4 visits, plus you save a lot by not paying for parking and getting discounts on food and merchandise.

Forgot to mention that this will be our only planned trip to Universal for awhile, so is it still worth it for only one trip ??

Would you be able to get a room discount with the AP? If so it may be worth it. Keep in mind that if you were to get an AP you might end up down there again this year...or get one for your wife and she'll think of a reason to go back herself. At least that's how my mind works. lol

AP's give you huge room discounts. I just got HRH deluxe room for 139 with the AP discount for Monday. The RPR was offered at $99 with the AP discount but I missed it by about 5 minutes. The PBH was also offered for 139.

You only need to buy one AP to get these discounts. Go onto the www.loewshotes.com website and check out the various discounts to see if it is worthwhile for your times. Use the code AAA and APH for annual pass.

IMO, it is worth it. When you count the discounts on food, souvenirs and rooms, it is worth it. Also, you may like it so much, you may just plan a quick trip since you already have them!

Will you have a car? If so, you may want to make a quick trip to the AAA South office in Kissimmee and pick up an AP there for only $119.95! My DH and I did this and bought our 3 kids the $81.95 passes for our trip in May. If you're staying offsite, this will save you the parking fees, plus you get a 15-20% discount on all food & mercandise at Universal. If you're staying onsite, you'll save even more money with a great AP room discount!
