AP or Voucher?

If I buy an AP from the Disney website will I get an actual pass that starts ticking down, or will I get a voucher that I can activate when I get there? I would love to have access to the website but I'm not going until March. If I have a voucher can I access the site?

you will get a voucher, which will allow you to access the site and make reservations. When you get there, you'll trade that for the real thing....then the clock starts ticking!

Everyone says you can get on the AP site with just a voucher, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to do it.

I don't know what (if there is one) the time limit is. I waited six months between receiving and activating my voucher.

I was able to get on the AP website with just the voucher. As far as I know, there is no time limit for activating your AP and since all of the Disney ticket prices seem to go up every year, it makes sense to me to buy the voucher as soon as you can afford it.
