AP Online Renewal Question

My Deluxe AP expires on Nov. 15. I have heard of discounts for renewing online, but I have not received an e-mail (like others who have posted), and when I try to renew on the AP website, it tells me that my barcode number is "not valid". Any ideas? Could it maybe be because I am in Canada?

It tells me to phone the AP Hotline, but I thought I would check here first.

Your idea with Canada is possible. It doesn't work for me either (and I didn't get a discount e-mail as well), and I am in Germany.

Our trip in November seems so close, but yours is even closer! Have a wonderful time!
 
I figured it wasn't worth calling and I'll just do my own renewal at the parks. With the current Euro exchange rate I'd probably spend more money on the call than I'd save if they give me the discount. ;) My friend needs to go to the AP center anyway because she's a new AP holder, so we can just line up together.

With a trip planned so close, you wouldn't want to risk not getting the APs in the mail anyway. From what I keep reading on a different message board, the old AP becomes useless once they've *sent* the new one, so it can be a pain if your trip happens while the new one is en route.
 
I tried about 6 weeks ago and it didn't work. Not even I am crazy enough to risk something like that less than 2 weeks before I fly. :laughing:

But I had no idea that the original pass becomes invalid then. :scared1:
 
I also did not receive a renewal email and my AP expires in about 3 weeks. I am also in Canada so perhaps only American AP holders get a renewal email with discount offer?
 
I haven't phoned yet. I thought I would wait for a week-day, so that "hopefully" I won't be on hold too long. We arrive for our trip two days before my AP expires, so maybe it would be just as easy - and perhaps safer - to wait and renew in person (especially if there is no possibility of an early renewal discount).:sad1:
