I just called the AP office and was told that they don't open until 11 a.m. The woman on the phone told me that we couldn't get into the park until then and that we were to tell the people at the front gates that we were interested in getting APs and they would just let us into the park since the office is by the castle. So, we can't go to the park when it opens? :(

Has this been your experience?

Thanks,
angie

No - all you need to do is either A) buy a one day ticket and exchange this at the AP office for a pass or B) pay in full for an Annual Pass at the gates and then swap the paper version of this for a pass at the AP office when it opens.

Either does not involve you not being able to go into the park at normal opening time.

Both options need to be done on the same day i.e. exchange 1 day ticket or full paid paper pass for your laminated pass.

Thanks! I just read this on the dlrpmagic site. I assume that those at the front desk will know/honor the free AP for child with the purchase of the adult one? We have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Planning to get dream passes.

I think the CM you spoke to even has the opening time wrong as we found the AP Office open at 10:30 when we went in December, and they closed at 7pm too.

If you go to guest relations you should have no problems buying the correct tickets needed

Oh and they certainly wouldn't let you in to the park without a ticket just because you are interested in Ap's otherwise we'd all do that :goodvibes:

Go to Guest Services to buy your temporary APs - they are more likely to know the ins and outs of the AP system, including the free one for your 4-year old when you buy an adult AP. The Guest Services office is at the end of the turnstiles at the entrance to the park, to your right hand side. Remember to ask for your free childs AP, as they may not automatically offer it :) .

Yes I would recommend using Guest services too - they are geared up to sell the Annual pass and do the kids free bit and usually less of a queue than at the main turnstiles where people are buying the standard passes. State up front that you want to do the adult with child free pass.
