You can book the AP rate without actually having the AP. Just call and ask for the rate. You will need to show your AP at check in (most of the time). If you are planning on upgrading an existing ticket, need to purchase it outright or have the exchange voucher - just let them know when they ask that you are getting it and they will just ask you to bring it back to show once you have it.

You can exchange, purchase or upgrade at the International Gate at Epcot. I just did this 2 weeks ago!

We're waiting for end of September AP rates. AP current deals must book by July 31, so the next set of rates should be out when the current one comes down.

Is there an AP deal coming out in October or is this when the prices are expected to go up? We are thinking of getting AP's for our October trip, but still not sure if they will be worth the cost for our family.

I am impatiently waiting for the free dining or some deal for October 2013,. The last few years, deals have been released for July 6, July 9, and Aug 3, for free dining. I am obsessed with checking my email and the websites daily. I will be visiting then, and would love to be able to let my boys eat like crazy on vacation. If a deal does get released and you have already booked your vacation, as long as you booked through Disney direct, you just call them and they will adjust your deal to the sale with no problem. There are very few restrictions ( the Art of Imagination, standard rooms, and The Wilderness Camogrounds are usually not included) If you used a travel agent, they will need to try to get the deal for you. Tip: you are able to cancel any deal within 45 days before your trip, for a full refund...so they would not deny you the sale.

I'm not holding my breath on this these days. Most of the Deluxe's are already booked up especially those in Epcot area so I don't see much of a chance of getting an AP discount room as in years past. Might be time to re-think the whole AP deal and whether it's worth it for us?

I guess I am not seeing them. My AP pages only shows the AP discounts through Sept 26, and the GP discount through the end of the year.

I have booked my trips with the GP discount, hoping I can apply the AP when it is announced.
