AP not renewing right away

Our AP's expired yesterday, and we're going to "give it a rest" for a while before renewing. I think a lot of AP's do thls - but it got me to thinking about what it would take to get us to renew immediately without a lapse. Obviously the $10 or $20 discount offer didn't cut it. I'm thinking if a immediate renewal was for a longer term - say 13 months instead of 12 months - I might do it. Any other ideas?

Logistics.

We have renewed our passed 6 years in a row with no lapse. Reason?, we only live 10 miles away from the resort so we visit about once a week . If we had to always plan a day(s) off and accommodations we would with out a doubt take a break from being AP's.
