What are the chances they extend the AP Merch discount again?? I know they just did but I'm really hoping they extend it through the end of the year :) Or just keep it forever haha.

Ya but I don't go until the end of October :( So I'm hoping for another extension lol. Heck...I'm sure they sell way more merchandise because of it!!

What is this discount again? 10% for DAP and 20% for PAP? Where???

From the Disneyland AP site:
Now through September 30, 2010, Southern California Select, Southern California and Deluxe Passholders receive 10% off all merchandise purchases at select Disneyland® Resort stores. Premium Passholders enjoy 20% off at the same stores!

*At the Disneyland® Resort, offer is valid only at select Disneyland® Resort stores and pin cart locations. Discount is not valid on purchases of DVD, VHS, software media, Walt Disney Classics Collections, original artwork, selected collectibles, food or beverage, Disney Dollars, Gift Cards, Ticket Media, Park Admission, Arcades, Newspapers/Periodicals, Tobacco, Postage stamps, sundries, cameras, shipping or taxes. Discount does not apply at the following locations: Midway games, Fairytale Arts, Three Fairies Magic Crystals, Names Unraveled, Jewel of Orleans, Silhouette Studio, Portrait Artists, Parasol Cart, Heraldry Shop, Crystal Shops (Crystal Arts & Crystal d'Orleans), Face Painting, or at any Downtown Disney® District location other than World of Disney® Store, Studio Disney 365, Marceline's Confectionery, and Disney's Pin Traders. May not be combined with any other discount, offer or promotion. Not valid on previous purchases or on phone, online or mail order purchases. Subject to restrictions and change without notice.

As long as the economy isn't doing great, I think it's at least somewhat likely they'll extend the discount. I think the main reason they have not made it permanent is because they want to be able to take it back it someday, and once they've made a discount an official AP perk, I think it's very difficult to back away from it.

So I wouldn't count on it, but I think you're right to hold out some hope.

Even if they don't extend it, they have the technology to print special merchandise coupons for AP-holders when you buy a meal/etc., so there's a pretty good chance you'll be able to score some sort of discount during your trip.

Is it true that you have to spend at least $10 to get the discount? I tried to use my Deluxe AP last week and then they told me that I needed to spend that much.
