Oh, i hope you can help me figure this out! There is a fairly good chance we'll be able to visit both WDW and DisneyLAND in 2005! :)

If we can, i have soo many questions.....can you please help me sort this out as i'm really confused.....

- i'm wondering if an AP will work at both parks in the same year?

- would we ALL need an AP? Only 3 of us will be going to the WDW for 3 days, but all 4 of us will be going to DisneyLand for 2 days.

- so basically, other than getting the discount for on-site resorts, would the AP be more economical for us vs. park hoppers? We're at the POP in WDW but i'm not sure if the AP discount would be enough for us to stay on Disneyland property....

Sorry so many questions and hope this made sense?! And considering that for two years we visited both WDW and Disneyland during the same year, i have this sick feeling we really missed out on some good discounts by not buying an AP pass before.....? :(

Thank you for any and all advice!!!

I don't think ticket media is interchangable between DL & WDW, nor are AP Discounts.

Chuck S is correct. There is no AP that will get you in to both DL and WDW. They have separate AP's, separate Park Hoppers, separate packages, separate discounts.

This is a total peeve of mine that WDW APs don't get discounts or special offers to DL. I think they're missing a HUGE opportunity to cross market!

I don't know if this was just a fluke or not, but our family of 4 has gotten into DL with DW tickets on 2 occasions. We just assumed that because the cost of entering DW is greater than DL that they took our tickets......didn't know it wasn't the norm.

You can use a WDW PH at DL but not an AP.

Thanks for the replies. That's disappointing! I would think they'd be interchangeable!!!

Maxie, have you recently used your WDW PH at DL?

I suppose that would be a savings, buying a 5 day PH instead of a 3 day at WDW and a 2 day at DL....if those are still available?

Nope. But I have read many places that this is possible. If you check out Mouesavers.com under DL Tickets and Passes Mary does mention this. If you want to confirm it post on the DL forum here and you will get verification.

For others who may be wondering, this is what mousesavers has to say....

"Interesting, unpublished fact: you can use leftover days on a Walt Disney World Hopper pass at Disneyland or DCA! This is probably because Disney World Hopper passes cost much more per day than Disneyland passes, so Disney is actually coming out way ahead on the deal. Present the WDW Hopper at the gate on arrival -- they will take it somewhere, deduct a day from it, and give you a one-day pass. This information was confirmed as of April 2004.

Disneyland passes are NOT accepted at Walt Disney World, and Annual Passes are only good at the park where they were purchased (WDW Annual Passes are NOT good at Disneyland, and vice versa)."
