Hi everyone! I know the current AP rates go until 9/30... any idea when the next set (maybe for Oct-Dec) will come out?

I only wish I knew....
I don't think anybody knows, so you may not get too many replies.
Hopefully soon though as Oct is only three months away and we have lots of anal planners around here!

Of course, there are rates showing on the AP calendar for October and they have been showing all month, but they are horrible rates!!:lmao: I was saying this a few weeks ago, but $221 for the PPH!!! Are you kidding me?:lmao::lmao: You know, honestly, with all the stuff they have going on this coming October at DLR, I would be surprised (though delighted) if they release any good AP rates to us at all. I think last year's surge in attendance in October made DLR realize, 'Hey, we can really build up October as an event and bring in more business!' So I would think that maybe they are waiting to see if anyone books at the current rates in October based on the release of info about the Halloweentime activities, and if they don't get the bookings they want, maybe then we will see some good AP rates. But they are holding out, and the rates may not change at all, or if they do, it could be last minute. There are not even any PIN codes that last through October so far this year. I have about 3 different PIN offers right now, and they all end in the last days of September.

I bet we'll see something as August starts. they weren't going that far into September until July started, and it feels like the right timing from years past.

That's if they do a special, like they've done in the past (especially '07, my goodness they had some rates!).

I looked back to last year, and based on the posts here they were released July 23rd. I'm thinking they'll do something because even if they can draw the crowds it doesn't mean people will be willing to pay more to stay at a Disney hotel. They have a TON of cheap competition surrounding them.

Where will I see them when they come out? I am getting an AP this week (from a SoCal Costco) - can I log into the site with that or do I need the actual AP?

Can anyone tell me AP rates for Halloween weekend at PPH or DLH? We will be upgrading on our Sept trip and am curious what rates will be in Oct. Also, do you have to have the AP in hand when you book your room, or can I book prior to upgrading?

You do not have to have the AP when you book the room. You must present it upon check in (even if it's not yet activated).

PPH Standard is $221/night just about every day in Oct.
DLH Standard is not available
DLH View is available on 31st @ $275

Just a sort of non-update on the mystery of whether or not there will be good AP rates for October (better than the ones showing on the AP hotel calendar right now)....

I just called DLR Reservations (on the AP number) to ask about something else, but while I had the helpful CM on the phone who was willing to share info, I asked her if she knew of any upcoming AP rates for October since the ones showing on the AP hotel calendar are so high. Now, mind you, I don't necessarily expect the CMs to reveal what they know IF they know anything, but she sounded pretty convincing when she said that they have not received any information or advance notice of any October AP rates thus far. She said that, normally at this time of year, they would have gotten word of October AP rates by now, but because of the 5 for 3 deal that was so popular and the various PIN discount offers around that all extend until the end of September, Disney may be waiting for some of those rooms to be booked or to cycle out before they offer anything good for October - IF they offer anything good for October at all. She said she knew exactly what I know - that all the current discount offers and promos seem to end in late September and that nothing is being offered for October yet by way of PIN offer or AP rate or other discount.

The CM said, "That is not to say that they [DLR] won't still release some Annual Passholder rates for October eventually, or possibly some new PIN code offers, but usually we [in Reservations] would have heard that those were coming by now and we haven't heard anything yet."

So keep your eye on the AP hotel calendar just in case, because something may pop up out of the blue for October, and then it could also be gone in the blink of an eye.

I decided to bite the bullet and book for four days tonight - so I'm sure the new rates will come out tomorrow. Last year, four nights at DLH in early October 219 AP Rate a night including tax - this year 279 a night including tax - a whopping 70 more a night. I'm hoping when the new rates come out it's simple to change to the cheaper rate. We always go in October - I figure with the birthday deal (we have two when we are there) that pays for two of the nights.

If cheaper rates come out, you should be able to switch your reservation to the cheaper rate with no problem, as long as it is a Room-Only reservation. Remember, too, as I stated in my previous post, the CM in Reservations told me the other day that they would normally know by now if there are any special October AP rates or other discounts coming along for that time, and thus far, they have received no word from anyone in their office that there are good rates in sight for October - YET. And the CM said that things (booking patterns, etc.) have been so "weird" and different this year because of the various special offers and discounts floating around, which have been very popular - all of which expire at the end of September - that it is possible DLR doesn't want to start rolling out the cheap hotel rates for October right away (translation: they would like to lure some people into booking for the Halloweentime season at the regular, non-discounted rate because they anticipate high crowds and want to make money!). So if there are any good AP rates or special offers that come out for October this year at all, they may not be as good as last year's Fall rates and they may not be released for quite a while - like much closer to October than we expect/want. Hopefully that won't be the case (I, too, would like to make plans for October and get it out of the way now), and we will all see some great October rates show up on the AP hotel calendar next week, but it may not happen that way this year. They may put them up closer to Fall.
