We usually go do WDW 3x per year. Now that our dd is 3 we have to pay for her ticket. We're considering getting the AP. As AP holders, can we get additional discounts on rooms?? I just booked a trip for December using the current discount code WDW just released. Can I get an additional discount on top of that if we buy AP soon?!

no, you can't stack discounts - you have to choose which one gives you the best deal & stick with that one. However, sometimes the AP discount is slightly better % off than the general public discounts. The downside is you have to wait for the AP rates to come out...usually the AP rates are released after everything else so there's a little "on the edge of your seat" waiting for them.

The upside is, you can get the great room discounts & also if you like the dining plan you can add that to the AP room without having to buy more tickets.

You can't get an add'l discount but maybe the AP discount applied instead of what you have. Don't change it to the AP discount unless you are sure you will be buying one though.

Tables in Wonderland is a discount dining card available only to AP holders (for $75) and FL residents (for $100).

It gives 20% off at many/most TS locations and a select few CS locations - mainly at a few resorts and AK. It also has an automatic gratuity of 18%. It covers food & drinks, alcoholic & not.

What's TIW? Do AP holders get any dining discounts?

Even without TIW as described above, the AP gives 10% off a few TS for lunch during the week that are mainly in EPCOT.

If you're going at least twice a year, you need to upgrade to AP. We go 3 or more times within a 12 month period and did the upgrade to AP after DD turned 3.

If you go to WDW 3X/year, you are likely paying more for your tickets than you would be if you had AP's. Depending on the length of each trip and whether or not you get the park hopping option, MYW tickets could be significantly more than an AP. (AP's are park hoppers) The discounts would just be gravy.
